ADJ will be exhibiting on stand H38
UK - ADJ will use this year’s show to demonstrate the latest additions to its range of professional moving head luminaires, including beam, wash and hybrid fixtures as well as the much-anticipated Hydro Series of IP65-rated models. Visit ADJ at stand H38 during PLASA 2019 (15-17 September, London Olympia).
ADJ’s Hydro Series brings the advantages of weatherproof IP65-rated enclosures to the broad mid-market of the entertainment technology industry. Designed for rental houses, tours and production companies, as well as permanent installation, the Hydro Series fixtures can be used outside in any weather. Their sealed casing design also means that, even if the fixtures are used indoors, their optics are protected from dust, dirt and humidity, resulting in an extended operational life and reduced maintenance requirement.
The flagship of the Hydro Series is the Hydro Beam X2, a bright and feature-packed luminaire. Through a combination of precision-engineered optics and a potent Osram Sirius HRI 370W LL (long life) discharge lamp, the fixture generates a razor-sharp 3-degree beam that can be customized using a wide variety of beam manipulation tools to provide lighting designers with a high level of creative freedom. These include a 14-position colour wheel (including both 3200K and 5600K CTO filters), 10 replaceable rotating GOBOs + two fixed beam reducers, two multi-faceted rotating prisms with layering feature and an independent frost filter.
The second fixture in the new series, the Hydro Beam X1, is a compact yet potent moving head powered by an Osram Sirius HRI 100W discharge lamp. Despite its small size, the X1 packs in plenty of beam-shaping features. Its color wheel offers a diverse selection of 14 color options, including UV and a CTB colour correction filter, plus open white. A second wheel is loaded with a varied selection of 15 GOBO patterns plus open, which include 4 beam reducers, and the versatile fixture also features a 16-facet rotating circular prism.
The final model in the Hydro Series to date is the new Hydro Wash X7 a powerful LED wash fixture. With a compact footprint allowing for agile movement, this professional IP65-rated unit utilizes the power of seven Osram 40W RGBW (4-in-1) LEDs to generate a potent wash of coloured light.
Also on display will be the latest addition to ADJ’s popular Focus Series of compact, yet powerful, professional moving head luminaires. The new Focus Beam LED is the first dedicated beam fixture to be introduced to the range and features an 80W cool white LED engine combined with an advanced optical system that allow it to generate an extremely impressive output.
ADJ’s PLASA stand will also feature the new Vizi Wash Z19, a 380W professional moving head wash fixture powered by nineteen 20W 4-in-1 RGBW LEDs. The LEDs are arranged in seven independently-controllable zones and positioned behind a precision-engineered lens array which generates a uniform wash and removes color shadows.
Finally, building on the success of ADJ’s popular Vizi Hybrid 16RX, the new Vizi CMY 16RX is a true hybrid moving head that functions interchangeably as a spot, beam or wash fixture. It features full CMY colour mixing, allowing lighting designers the creative freedom to select the exact hue they require to achieve any desired look or effect.
“PLASA remains the most important trade exhibition for our industry in the UK,” comments ADJ UK’s national sales and marketing manager, Kris Dawber. “This year we are looking forward to using our stand to showcase the latest additions to our moving head range including the highly-anticipated Hydro Series. These powerful, feature-packed and reliable fixtures bring IP65-rated moving heads within the reach of a huge number of production companies and installers working on projects with budgets that up until now would not have allowed for the use of such fixtures.
“We are looking forward to demonstrating the Hydro Series, as well as the other recent additions to our product range, to both new and existing customers visiting the show.”
