PLASA 2019: Ayrton plans double launch
- Details
On display from the French lighting manufacturer will be its latest luminaires - Khamsin, Bora, Mistral and Levante – and two new products, Perseo and Huracán-X, will be launched at the show.
Ayrton will also celebrate its heritage through a product showcase styled as a timeline, showing products manufactured since the company’s inception in 2001.
Perseo is Ayrton’s first multi-function, compact, powerful, IP65-rated fixture developed for outdoor use. Feature-rich from the factory (including 100% framing shutters, a variable CTO and six-colour wheel), Perseo produces 27,000lm from its 500W LED source, and sports a fully weather-proof housing with a new water-resistant menu navigation system. The fixture has a 27,000-lumen output calibrated at 8000K and a zoom range of 7°- 56°, with no hotspot and significant improvement from distortion at wide angles. In addition, a phase-change liquid cooling system fitted with four submersible fans is located outside the watertight enclosure.
Huracán-X is a profile luminaire that produces 50,000lm from its 1000W LED source, at a colour temperature of 6500K. A triple variable colour temperature corrector allows subtle adjustment from 2700 K to 15000 K. With a zoom range of 6.2°-62°, the fixture also offers Ayrton’s advanced framing shutters for accurate positioning across 100% of the surface area in any position. Huracán-X also boasts a graphical system with one seven-position wheel for interchangeable effects cassettes or gobos, fitted with five rotating gobos and two effects cassettes, that can create dynamic effects by superimposing two complementary inverted images in counter rotation. A second interchangeable gobo wheel is equipped with seven rotating gobos; a monochromatic multi-position effects wheel allows horizontal, vertical or axial scrolling for creating flame, water or radiant effects; a multi-layer CMY wheel enables the generation of multicolour effects.
Additionally, standard features in Huracán-X include a 15-blade iris diaphragm, a light and a heavy frost filter, two rotating prisms, a five-facet circular and a four-facet linear prism.
