UK - PLASA's forthcoming AGM and Members Lunch is expected to attract a strong turnout in June, on the back of another influential year for the organisation.

PLASA's momentum is certainly growing: its membership base is expanding, its range of services is strengthening and its member networking events are increasing, making the AGM and Members Lunch an important event at which members can come together to discuss solutions and approaches to the current situation.

PLASA is highly active at an industry-level too: its political policy continues to give the entertainment and installation technology sectors a strong profile in Government circles and the organisation is about to announce the next stage in its skills strategy, focusing on the development of a portfolio of qualifications designed to enhance the skills-base of the sector.

It is also just a few months away from the launch of PLASA Focus - a new regional event taking place at the end of April in Leeds, designed to drive new commercial opportunities for businesses in the area.

These initiatives, together with the strategy for the coming years, will form the key element of the AGM, which will be presented on Tuesday 2 June 2009 at Kings Place, the stunning new concert venue built to the north of London's King's Cross. Opening last October, it is the first new concert hall to appear in London in 26 years, and, around its impressive 450-seat main concert hall (which is home to both the London Sinfonietta and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment), are curved two art galleries, a dining venue, a conference centre and a media HQ. Its architectural design has attracted much media coverage, not least its innovative facade - a theatrical glass curtain which curves, wave-like, along the entire length of the building.

As a leading creative centre, it will provide a fitting backdrop for the PLASA AGM, which will be followed by the PLASA Members Lunch - a highly social event attended by over 200 members and representatives from the industry.

Further details of the event will be announced shortly.
