UK / Australia - PLASA has confirmed the line-up of international speakers for the PLASA sponsored international seminar programme at ENTECH 2011.

Taking place from the 19-21 July 2011 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, ENTECH has been Australia's leading biennial trade show for the entertainment, live events and corporate installation sectors for 17 years. Visitor attendance to the event has always been strong and this year it will be further strengthened by the co-location of the SMPTE conference and exhibition - a major event for the broadcast, pro-audio, audio visual, lighting, staging and commercial integration markets.

Three keynote speakers have been confirmed as part of the PLASA programme, each bringing their expertise in the lighting, audio and rigging sectors to the event.

Lighting designer Rob Halliday is an internationally respected lighting programmer, designer, lecturer and author. Â As part of two keynote sessions, he'll provide an introduction to lighting programming as well as leading a discussion on the latest lighting technology, ranging from moving lights to media servers. He will also participate in a panel session where he will share his experiences and insights into the world of lighting designers.

Chris Higgs from Total Solutions is a highly experienced rigging practitioner and consultant who heads up the Total Training operation of the Total Solutions Group. With his wealth of experience in rigging health & safety, Chris will be presenting two keynote sessions, one focusing on working at height, the second on safety culture in rigging. He will also be part of a panel session discussing broader rigging issues.

The third PLASA sponsored international keynote speaker will be audio engineer and author, Dave Swallow. Dave recently spoke at PLASA Focus: Leeds 2011 and drew one of the largest audiences of all the 20 seminars hosted at that event. He is bringing his seminar series titled The Art of Mixing a Show to ENTECH, where he will explore the most important ideas behind putting a mix together, how to add a third dimension to a flat, two dimensional mix and using dynamic processors in a creative way.

"We are delighted to be able to bring Rob, Chris and Dave over to Australia for ENTECH. We are sure that the audiences at ENTECH will feel inspired by the presentations all three speakers will make, and learn an enormous amount from these industry experts," said Nicky Rowland, PLASA's director of events.

PLASA's CEO, Matthew Griffiths added:"We're pleased to be involved in one of the premium industry events in Australia. We see this alliance as a great opportunity to support the future development of our industry in the Australian and New Zealand regions."

Registrations for all keynote sessions are via the web address below.
