In a further indication that this year's show will be the best yet, organisers report a 30% increase in visitor registrations. New exhibitors joining the show this year include Autograph Sales, HD Pro Audio, Pearce Hire and Unusual Rigging, among others. A full list of exhibitors and details of the Professional Development Programme can be found on the PLASA Focus website.
Another exciting new development is the first ever PLASA Riggers' Forum for the North, which will take place on Tuesday 30 April. Building on the success of the PLASA Riggers' Forum in London in September, the new event provides a unique opportunity for those in the rigging community to enjoy an afternoon specifically dedicated to all things rigging.
Kicking off with a presentation entitled The Dunning Kruger Effect - The Dangers of Unconscious Incompetence, delegates will then be given the chance to contribute to a period of discussion and have their questions answered by a range of industry experts, including members of the National Rigging Advisory Committee, before finishing with a couple of beers and a chance to relax with other members of the rigging community. The forum costs £30 + VAT to attend and tickets will be allocated on a first - come, first - served basis. Those interested can register now at www.plasafocus.com/leeds/seminars/forum.
