PLASA London 2013 takes place at ExCeL on 6-9 October.
UK - The PLASA Show, a driving force in the development and promotion of the professional entertainment technology industry for over 35 years, is preparing to launch the most important edition in the show's history this Friday 15th March 2013. Taking place at Excel London for the first time this year, the show will open under its new name PLASA London 2013, in its new dateline of the 6-9 October.

PLASA CEO Matthew Griffiths explains; "PLASA London 2013 reflects a new focus on international visitors, which is the number one reason we moved to Excel. Excel London is just five minutes from London City Airport, which handles 350 flights per day from over 40 international destinations. London is already the best connected City in the world and this October, PLASA London 2013 will take place in one of the best connected venues in the world, and that's a fact."

With seven onsite hotels, 1900 rooms within walking distance, and 10,000 rooms within 20 minutes, Excel London offers a campus-style exhibition for international visitors. In addition to a brand new floor plan, two new bars, three new business lounges, and three educational theatres, PLASA will launch the new show content that it believes will make it a must-attend event for international networking at the highest level. "Stay-tuned for some big announcements. Not only will we be offering free registration to the first 5000 people to register through our brand new website, we will also be announcing a brand new programme of audio content that will bring international audio practitioners together with manufacturers in a highly engaging and unique way. We will be the only audio show in the world to do what we are doing," adds Griffiths.

In addition, PLASA are planning a special celebration to commemorate the National Theatre's 50th anniversary and further development of the highly successful Professional Development Programme, including some special elements off site. "Last year, PLASA's free Professional Development sessions reached over 6500 people worldwide, 4000 of those at the London show alone. Free education and training supports the worldwide industry and PLASA London 2013 will see a significant development in terms of our educational offering, including the chance for visitors to go behind the scenes at some of London's most iconic entertainment venues." Concludes Griffiths.

Anyone wishing to receive the free ticket offer must visit the new PLASA London website this Friday from 10am: www.plasashow.com. PLASA London is owned and organised by PLASA, the leading global membership body for entertainment technologies.
