The beta version of the new TiMax panLab application will provide enhanced spatial pan programming and live cue management

UK - On Stand J5 at this year’s PLASA Show, TiMax Spatial will showcase a beta version of the latest innovation to join the fold, TiMax panLab. The original editions of this spatialisation application for macOS have already taken the market by storm.

Now in the stable of immersive audio pioneers TiMax, it delivers an augmented feature set which enables users to take spatialised audio designs further in both entry-level and large-scale systems.

The beta version of the new TiMax panLab application will provide enhanced spatial pan programming and live cue management for shows and systems mapped and rendered in the TiMax SoundHub spatial processor. Optional software licences are included to output to QLab, mixing consoles, processors and TiMax SoundHub depending on user requirements.

Also on the stand is the new TiMax TrackerSP plug-in option which adds integrated lighting and media control to the award-winning TiMax TrackerD4 stage-tracking system. Developed in collaboration with virtual production and show-control specialists, Stage Precision GmbH, TrackerSP enables TiMax TrackerD4 to intelligently direct and focus groups of moving-head light fixtures using ArtNet and sACN networked DMX.

TiMax TrackerSP operates seamlessly with synchronised groups of fixtures across multiple tracked objects and opens the door for further Stage Precision integration with videomapping and camera control, as well as Unreal, Notch and beyond.

To bolster your understanding of the powerful capabilities nestled within the TiMax suite of products, stand J5 will be brimming with TiMax knowledge holders. Newcomers Rik Kirby (commercial manager) and software and UX lead Dan Higgott join Dave Haydon and Robin Whittaker to welcome you to the stand and for demos and use-case ideas. From Stage Precision, application specialist Matt Villas will be on hand to assist exploration into the outer reaches of TiMax TrackerSP’s control capabilities for lighting and media.

Elsewhere in the show, Dave Haydon will be discussing soundwave behaviour and spatial audio imaging in his Sunday seminar at 16.45, entitled, Diary of a Soundwave, in the Audio and AV Theatre 2. Dave will also join Phil Ward on Monday at 13.30 in the Audio and AV Theatre 2 as the discussion turns to Take Your Partners... Loudspeakers and Spatial Audio Signal Processing.

With news to share and introductions to make, the TiMax Spatial team eagerly awaits you at the PLASA Show. Stand J5 will host demonstrations of TiMax SoundHub, TiMax panLab, TiMax TrackerD4 and TiMax TrackerSP, so you can experience first-hand the insightful workflow and flexibility that set these systems apart from other spatial audio, show-control and stage-tracking platforms in performance, presentation and experience applications.
