Eight 72" Supernova Infinity Screens were supplied by dnp distributors, Wincomn Technology, and installed by Wincomnpartner, JinYanjing Technology Co., Ltd, who had successfully bid for the contract.
The facility is used for emergency management and the solution was based around a display matrix of Supernova Infinity Screens in a 2 x 4 configuration. These were recommended for their high output in a brightly lit environment, in a 20m x 8m room offering minimum space.
The display, which fills most of the back wall, was optimised using low gain 08-85 screen material, for extreme viewing angles.
Wincomn met the challenges of installing such a large display in this relatively small room by proposing a customised frame for the flexible Infinity Screen, projected onto from ceiling-mounted ChristieDS+750 single-chip DLP devices.
The display takes a DVI feed using Extron WindoWall 103 DI multi-window processor and DMS 1600 DVI, matrix switcher, while the camera source is converted to DVI-D via an Extron DVC 501 SD.
Wincomn's engineer Mr. Ding, confirmed, "It was certainly a challenge to install a display wall on this scale in such a room.
"As a command hall, the environmental light is very bright- but high brightness is one of the special advantages of the Supernova Infinity. We carried out comparative tests for the client with another potential solution but the performance of the Supernova was far superior."
Mr. Li, the Emergency Centre's head of property management, commented: "Supernova displays the data to perfection in such a bright hall. This screen is really cool."
