The Advanced Cut-Off System automatically shuts off the pumping system when the fluid tank reaches a minimum level. This feature warns the user when it's time to refill and helps to maintain the life of the machines by preventing clogging and damage to the units.
American DJ's FS-DMX-T remote control/timer, which comes standard on the Fog Storm 1700HD but is available as a separate option on the Fog Storm 1200HD, can be used to connect either unit directly to a DMX-512 lighting controller using a standard XLR cable. "These two new high-output machines represent a new high standard among professional foggers," said Scott Davies, general manager of American DJ. "With new features like the Advanced Cut-Off System and DMX compatibility, the Fog Storm 1200HD and Fog Storm 1700HD will provide DJs with extended years of trouble-free fog production and will let users enjoy more control and convenience than ever before."
The 1,200W Fog Storm 1200HD produces an output of 7,000 cubic ft of fog per minute, while the 1,700W Fog Storm 1700HD cranks out 15,000 cubic ft of fog per minute, enough to blanket even the largest venue in no time. Other important features shared by the Fog Storm 1200HD and Fog Storm 1700HD include an advanced heating system with a large copper tube that helps prevent clogging from fog fluid residue, an external fog control switch and an initial warm-up time of eight minutes.
