The automated lighting was used in two locations. The event at the stadium itself was managed by Q Media Events, an events management company based in Qatar, with TechnoPro (Qatar) providing a multimedia light and laser show at the closing ceremony and installing light, lasers, LED screens, audio and truss structures.
They based their design around 40 fully-featured XL1200 automated Spots with 20 XL1200 Wash providing a colourful backdrop. These conventional moving lights were augmented by 40 XLED 590 moving LED colour wash fixtures (each housing 30 red, 30 green and 30 blue super-bright 5W Osram Diamond Dragon LED's). Completing the festival of colour were eight PR Lighting Mega Color 4000W architectural outdoor fixtures, lighting the night sky witt 4000W of xenon power.
The celebration was followed by a concert at Doha Corniche which was managed by Al Kaas TV, and broadcast live on Al Kaas Channel, Doha.
TechnoPro (Qatar) again provided and installed the automated lighting, LED screens, audio, stage and truss structures for the concert - basing their design around a further 24 XLED 590 colour washes, complemented by 18 XL700 Spot and 18 XL 700 wash.
