CSI France report that a high volume of PR Lighting's LED and conventional automated spots have been in use at shows and spectaculars throughout France
France - PR Lighting's French distributors, CSI France report that a high volume of the company's LED and conventional automated spots from PR Lighting have been in use at shows and spectaculars throughout France during the summer and early Autumn.

Particularly popular has been the company's new lightweight XLED-590. Using Osram's Diamond Dragon LED, each head contains 90 high power 5W LED's (30 x Red, 30 x Green, 30 x Blue).

One company that used multiples to great effect was Peronnas-based Concept Son at the Jean Luc Habel dance school's end of term gala in Bourg en Bresse - which they have been servicing for more than 10 years.

The new XLED 590's helped to bring to life 500 dancers from different countries, including African, Indian, flamenco and rock 'n'roll. Concept Son manager, David Reydellet comments: "The XLED 590 is a very flexible, general purpose light which produces splendid colour saturation."

Another company who experienced a similar result were Lyon-based Révadéo Production. Created six years ago, the company combines technology and creative design and implementation for events of all kinds. Serge Luc and Freddy Montvernay - manager and technical manager of Révadéo - chose XLED 590's for a unique summer event, at Le Grand Rex, a famous old 2800-capacity movie and concert theatre in Paris.

The production had to be first class, and eight of these fixtures were used to invigorate the show. Afterwards, Freddy Montvernay commented: "These little fixtures are lightweight, convenient, easy to install, quiet running and offer an impressive array of settings. At the same time they offer an enormous output making them easily adaptable to a large room such as this. The result was stunning."

Elsewhere at L'Auberge Musicale in Ambérieu en Bugey - which recreates Renaissance music in faithful costume, with 16th century period decor - BG Production used four PR Lighting Pilot 250 wash lights, as part of a spectacular. Herve and Pierre, who have been managing BG Productions since 2003, were delighted with the result.

Finally, for the Sortie de Secours (Fire Exit) 20th anniversary tour in South of France, the 13-strong orchestra were lit by rental company JSB, who used eight PR Lighting XL1200E fixtures, run from a Hog desk at the Gala de Médecine de Montpellier.

The lighting designer was Gaƫl Digne, who put his faith in the eight PR Lighting moving heads, and his confidence was backed up by JSB manager, Sebastien Jaume (who also co-founded Sortie de Secours). He stated: "For events of this size and a demanding public it was important that we had a first class lighting production."
