PQ 07 will again create three basic competitive sections: the Section of National Exhibitions, the Section of Architecture and Technology, and the Student Section - Scenofest, which will be organized together with OISTAT (International Organization of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians). Countries have until June 30, 2005 to announce the name of the National Curator who will be the guarantor of the artistic and organizational aspects of the national exhibition in all sections.
Prague Quadrennial 2007 is represented at the World Stage Design 2005 in Toronto, Canada. The WSD 2005 international exhibition of stage, costume, lighting and sound design is taking place now (March 12-19, 2005), in conjunction with the OISTAT World Congress and the Stage Expo and Conference. OISTAT, USITT and CITT are the main organizer of the exhibit.
The PQ presentation at the WSD 2005 includes an interactive, multimedia exhibit, designed by Czech artist Kristof Kintera. General commissioner of the PQ07, Arnold Aronson, and director of the PQ, Ondej ?ernĂ½, will introduce the new concept of the 11th edition of the PQ during the WSD 2005. ?ernĂ½ will also serve as a member of the international jury.
The WSD 2005 is divided into two exhibitions: the Digital Exhibition and the Gallery Exhibition. The Gallery Exhibition of the WSD will feature 188 projects, which will also include the project Heart of the PQ, created for the Prague Quadrennial 2003 by the New Zealand architectural atelier SCAPE @ Massey. The WSD will also exhibit the works of nine Czech scenographers.
