USA - Prelite has broadened its arsenal of pre-visualization capabilities by offering ESP Vision Studio Version software. ESP Vision, with an extensive luminaire database, has an unprecedented ability to realistically simulate all performance aspects of both automated and conventional luminaries, say Prelite. The Studio Version provides additional functionality and support options not available in the standard package. Prelite's arrangement with ESP Vision to deploy this version of software is unique.

Prelite's Tom Thompson explains: "We have used ESP Vision for a number of shows - such as Jay Z, the Millennium Park opening and The Opposite of Sex - with great success. It's dead-on accurate rendering of luminaire functions - from shuttering, colour mixing, colour and gobo rolls, animation disks, effects and such to photometric representation - is very exciting for both Prelite and our clients. The software has superb rendering of shadows and accurately shows the falloff of the luminaire beam. The particle effects are particularly cool. Also, the fact that file formats like Autocad run native make this an ideal software package for us."

ESP Vision Director of Technology Dedrick Duckett adds, "Prelite's decision to use ESP Vision Studio is a tremendous validation of our technological direction. Their continuing product feedback has allowed us to refine the product to be as realistic as the lights themselves. We are very pleased with the relationship that has grown between the companies and look forward to many years of continued cooperation between the two organizations."
