Seven technicians from across the US participated in the classes, which covered basic system programming procedures and advanced system features. Upon completion of the course, each participant received a Qualified Medialon Programmer certificate, which entitles the recipient to be recognized as an official programming resource on Medialon's website. Medialon is one of several show control systems sold and supported by PRG. Other systems include Alcorn-McBride, AMX, and PRG's proprietary Stage Command System.
"One of the exciting features of Medialon's software is its ability to record DMX lighting cues through Artnet nodes and play them back on command," stated Goldenberg. "With this feature, you can hook up a lighting console, record your cues, and play them back whenever you want without needing a lighting console to be a permanent part of your show control system."
PRG recently installed Medialon's system at two Las Vegas attractions: the Rio Hotel & Casino's Masquerade Show in the Sky and the I Bar dance bar. Additional installations at other Las Vegas properties are currently planned or underway.
