UK - PMC has launched a new multichannel amplifier specifically designed to meet the needs of the professional immersive audio and home cinema markets requiring multiple speakers.
Designed to power any passive PMC speaker, this 2U rack-mounted amplifier is particularly well suited for use with PMC’s Ci series of slimline monitors, which are now widely used for surround and ceiling channels in Dolby Atmos professional and home cinema installations.
Available from the beginning of November 2023, the PMC power 750-8 is an eight-channel amplifier that combines exceptionally transparent and neutral sound with a power output of 750 watts per channel. When bridged and configured as a four-channel amplifier, the power 750-8 can deliver 1,500 watts per channel from a unit that only occupies 2U of rack space.

USA - ROE Visual is promoting the fine-pitch rental solution, Topaz, among other products for the live events market at LDI 2023.
The ROE booth for the 2023 show focuses on the touring side of the live events space, with a comprehensive stage setup reminiscent of the many stage designs involving ROE Visual panels over the years. Attendees will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the panels, with a multitude of configurations at their fingertips.
LDI is the first North American show to exhibit the new, all-purpose live events LED panel, Topaz. Europe - Yamaha has announced the introduction of its new HS3 and HS4 compact powered studio monitors.
Introduced in 2013, the HS series is designed to deliver honest, precise reproduction, giving creators complete confidence that what they are hearing is a true representation of the sound.
Sold in pairs, the HS3 and HS4 feature a high performance Class D power amplifier, housed in the left speaker. This links to the right speaker with a simple speaker cable connection.

Projection Simulator offers a comprehensive suite of features, including calculating throw distances between screens and projectors, as well as determining the relationships between the size and distance of the projected image. The tool also provides recommendations for optimal projector placement.

The output power, model numbers and configurations remain the same, but updated DP-F and DP-N models will now feature updated DSP controller software features, increased internal DSP functions, new IPS colour displays, locking XLR connectors and AES/EBU inputs. These new features represent a huge upgrade to Wharfedale Pro’s amplifier offerings.

Germany - LD Systems has launched a new product range specifically for the installation market. The TICA series offers compact solutions for any size project that are flexible, easy to install and packed with features that deliver better sound and control, says the company.
The series includes everything from media streaming and mixing preamplifiers to a range of amps with different channel and power outputs. There are also Dante networked audio interfaces, transformers, headphone amplifiers and control interfaces.
Installers can build entire systems using workhorse products from the series, or alternatively, the TICA series can be integrated into an existing installation providing additional connections or zones.
