USA - The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), the organisation that oversees Bluetooth technology, has announced the completion of Bluetooth Networked Lighting Control (NLC), the first full-stack standard for wireless lighting control. By offering standardisation from the radio through the device layer, Bluetooth NLC ‘enables true multi-vendor interoperability and mass adoption of wireless lighting control’.
"The establishment of globally available wireless standards has always been a key landmark in enabling connected device ecosystems to achieve their full promise. Wireless lighting control is no different," said Andrew Zignani, senior research director at ABI Research. Robe also celebrated its acquisition of leading lighting console manufacturer, Avolites, now officially ‘A Robe Business’ and premiered its new expo live show Power of Imagination that will run through 2023-24, designed to show off Robe’s newest technologies in situ in a high energy live performance spectacle.

The six-channel intercom system - which operates primarily in VHF - meets the EU’s Low Voltage, RoHS, Radio Equipment, and EMC directives. Europe - HOF has introduced the Monobloq rigging system where all the user needs is a single fix cable plus Monobloq to create the hanging point. The patented system allows a cable adjustment in seconds and the installation of up to eight bridles per hour with two technicians.
With the Monobloq system, less cable stock is needed, and cable adjustments can be done in seconds.
