The PA system installed for this event was composed of: 12 Proel AX3210P vertical array speaker systems; four subwoofers Proel EDGE121SP of 21" each for the extended bass frequencies. The arrays and subwoofers were powered by 12 Proel PSW2600 power amplifiers and controlled by a Proel DSO26 digital processor. The front-stage sound fill was guaranteed by four Proel Edge 25P speakers.
Along with the sound system, these following Proel accessories were used: two flying bars KPTAX3210 for the Axiom vertical arrays; three professional racks CR514TS (14U) to house the PSW power amps and power distribution appliance; three mains power input panels SDC3232; three signal patch bays CRK403M; speaker cables ESO2000; signal cables ESO255.
The Proel Axiom AX3210P is a vertical array suitable for such applications where extended array design curve is necessary: easy and flexible configurations capable of covering small to large size venues. The AX3210P is a passive 3-way bi-amplified speaker system featuring two 10" neodymium woofers and a 2-way compression driver equipped with a 2" diaphragm for the high frequencies and a 4" diaphragm for the mid-frequencies.
The power amplifiers used at the MTV event were the Proel PSW2600, 2 x 1300W/4 ohm, which feature analogue class H technology for the output stages, and PWM technology for the power supply. The installation was carried out by Laboratorio Musica sound company of Modena, who have extensively used the Proel Axiom and Edge systems throughout the summer period in various important outdoor events, among which are the Coca Cola Live @ MTV and the MTV Day festivals. All summer stages were equipped with the Proel Edge 15CXP 2-way coax stage monitors, as well as the Proel Edge 121SP low-end subs. The Proel Axiom vertical array will continue to be used by Laboratorio Musica as a main FOH system as well as a support system in large venues where it will support the bigger LiSA vertical array.
