The FLASH8 from Proel
USA - Proel is debuting new models in its FLASH Series at NAMM. The FLASH Series is a complete line of lightweight and versatile speakers featuring modern design and high quality sound, suitable for any working or entertainment applications, says the company.

FLASH8 is a full-range speaker with 8" woofer, available both in passive (8P) and active (8A) versions. The technical solutions employed include a polypropylene cabinet with an extended system of internal ribs designed through FEM analysis, a new 90°x60° constant-directivity high-frequency horn, a bi-amplifier (50W class AB - 180W class D for low frequencies) with separate line and mic inputs, two-band EQ, double clip limiter circuit and Neutrik connectors.

The cabinet shape which makes these speakers suitable as stage floor monitors, four M8 rigging points for suspended installation and one handle for easy transportation complete the picture of this model.

In the new FLASH12HA active model, these advanced technical characteristics are combined with Celestion Neodymium speakers and powerful class D amplifiers. High frequency reproduction is provided by a Celestion Neodymium 1" compression driver with 1.75" voice coil, which gives high efficiency combined with maximum linearity. Low frequencies are reproduced by Celestion Neodymium woofers 12", with a 3" voice coil, guaranteeing high power handling and significantly reduced weight.

The FLASH H amplifier module 100+400W is made up by the new class D amplifiers designed by Proel's R&D labs for the low range, able to generate a remarkable output level with wide dynamic range and low distortion.

FLASH12HA is designed for demanding users who require compact speakers providing maximum performance and power and, at the same time, astonishingly coherent acoustic response, adds the company. Proel's new FLASH speakers can be used as portable sound reinforcement systems in live and DJ applications, with or without subwoofer, and for monitoring applications. They are also suitable for the use in fixed installations in public venues such as clubs and conference rooms.
