Debuting at PLASA was an enhanced version of Proel's popular Smart series - the Smart VPlus. The new, improved versions boast high quality sound coupled with sturdy build quality. The trapezoidal enclosures come in 20 flavours, both active and passive.
At the higher end of the market was the AX1118SP subwoofer system, designed to work with the Axiom line array system. The cabinet is designed to be flown as part of an Axiom system and comprises an 18" neodymium woofer with 4" voice coil, while a DDR (double demodulating ring) controls excursion.
Also debuting, the Qube Projects Q Series - a joint project between FBT and Renkus-Heinz, designed to provide a comprehensive, expandable and reliable PA system. It ranges from the Q106 - a two-way, full-range enclosure weighing in at 8.5kg, to the Q115 - a 2-way, full-range unit comprises a 15" neodymium driver capable of handling 130dB SPL, and a 2" titanium driver on a rotatable horn providing HF up to 18kHz. Also new from FBT was the Verve series of affordable loudspeakers, which is complemented with a wide range of accessories and dedicated coaxial stage monitors.
From driver manufacturer B&C, the LF 6MD38, 6.5" driver, boasting a frequency response of 150-6,000Hz, and the DE 400 TN - a 100W continuous power HF driver with a 1" throat and titanium diaphragm offering a frequency range of 1.2-18kHz.
