The tough polypropylene housed Xenia series utilises high-definition soft dome tweeters and high-efficiency woofers providing superior audio quality and reliability, says the company. An important plus for installers is that the 3" and 5" models in the range, come with an innovative bracket design, designed to aid installation during building construction.
The Proel Xenia mounting system allows installers to attach the mounting bracket to the wall and fasten the cables into a connection at the rear, making Xenias suitable for installation during a first fix, when there is still dust being created and work going on in the environment. When building work has been completed, the installer can then return and simply place the speaker on the bracket and fasten and connect it with a retaining screw - a fix that takes seconds and requires no more equipment than a standard screwdriver.
Available in black or white, the Xenia range begins with the two-way X30T - designed for announcements and background music in environments (shops, restaurants, offices, etc.) requiring unobtrusive, small sized speakers, able to provide a good SPL and high-quality sound. The X30T handles 15 Watts continuous and delivers an SPL of 87dB 1 W/1 m from a 3" and a 1" soft dome horn loaded tweeter. Input voltage is variable between 70-100 Volts.
The 5" speakered Xenia X50T is designed for a variety of applications requiring a full-range sound in a limited space, such as bars, pubs, department stores and outdoor venues. It delivers an extended response with deep lows and clean, well-defined highs. The X50T will accept a continuous 25 Watts and will deliver an SPL of 90dB.
The 8" Xenia X80T is able to provide high SPLs and offers an impressive extension at low frequencies, making it suitable for large areas such as shopping malls, stadiums, airports, or for high-power music installations. It will handle 50 Watts continuous and will deliver an SPL of 91dB.
Finally, for applications where no central amplification is available, the Xenia range includes the active Xenia X80A. Onboard amplification delivers 80+20 Watts bi-amplified into an 8" woofer and a 1" soft dome tweeter, delivering 113dB.
