ELC Lighting is set to launch its professional wireless system at Frankfurt
Germany - Green-GO, the digital intercom over Ethernet system from ELC Lighting is set to launch its professional wireless system at Frankfurt this week (Stand 9.0 E71).

The latest development comes just months after having launched the iPhone which made the full capacity of beltpacks or table stations (32 full duplex channels, 250 groups and 3000 users) available from an iPhone/ iPad or iTouch. The app has revolutionised the way the Green-GO intercom system is used, but the launch of the professional wireless system is an exciting new development for the product range.

Speaking prior to the official launch of the system which is being showcased at Prolight+Sound, Silvio Cibien, sales manager at ELC Lighting, explained, "Unlike all other wireless intercom systems, our wireless beltpack and HF base stations are simply an extension of our Green-GO wired Ethernet network. While keeping the flexibility of the main system, the only thing the user needs to do is to add a number of antennas and wireless beltpacks in the system."

Green-GO is a communications system which simply plugs into an existing PoE network. Most intercom and cueing systems used for live performances in theatres, opera houses and concerts rely on separate networks of discrete wiring or dedicated data networks and proprietary protocols, sometimes with complex and expensive central management equipment. But with Green-GO, all that's required is a simple connection of the outstations. Once set up, all group data is stored locally so there is no need for an expensive central matrix.

Silvio continued, "This is another development which aims to put Green-GO head and shoulders above the competition. As other companies are constantly striving to create a system as good as ours we continue to make changes, additions and improvements to our system so that it cannot be replicated. Creating the app was an important development and the launch of our professional wireless system is the next logical step. We look forward to demonstrating the new system at the show."
