The total production consists of 120 rigging points of which 60 are flown from a main grid.
Confronted with a very tight touring schedule, resulting in short load in and load out times, head rigger Dave Rowe, decided that pre-rigging a part of the total production was the best solution. Together with Fabrice Danvou from Servi Scene, he designed the main grid to facilitate pre-rigging the show.
The main grid, named "the advanced rig", consist entirely of Prolyte S52SV and H30V trussing.Servi Scene has sub hired all the Prolyte materials from AED Belgium.
The production team, a combination of English and Australian technicians, are very impressed with both the easy coupling system and the strength of these compact trusses.
The fact that the Prolyte trusses are more compact than the ones regularly used saves them costly truck space, which is considered a very favourable property.
The complete advanced truss rig, including all hoists, controls and cabling fits a 100m3 truck. As the tour schedule is pretty tight, 2 advanced rigging sets are used for this tour.
