UK - Trade-only display and video specialist PSCo (part of the Midwich Group) is excited to announce the introduction of Barco projection. This expansion further increases its professional projector portfolio for live events and large venue use for rental and sales.
Whilst PSCo already offers a selection of impressive LCD laser projectors, the addition of Barco products represents a step into DLP projection technology, expanding the array of technologies available to rental partners. The enhanced offering gives partners more versatility and choice, as well as greater lens coverage and brightness output to meet the demand from trade partners.
PSCo are introducing the UDM-4K30 3-chip DLP, the lightest laser projector in the 30K lumen category, boasting a 27,000 lumens output and best-in-class 4K UHD processing as well as a wide colour spectrum and a robust tour-ready chassis. Complementing these units, a range of TLD+ lenses from ultra-short to long throw will also be available for rental.
Additionally, PSCo will offer the G62-W14 single-chip DLP laser projector for trade rental, representing a compact and powerful 13,600 lumen WUXGA unit. The G-series product range represents a new market for Barco introducing compact yet powerful 1-chip products to the market, whilst offering the user features usually reserved for the higher-spec Barco products including Barco Projector Toolset compatibility.
Having introduced Barco products to the rental fleet for the first time in 2022, with the popular Event Master image processing solutions, Barco and PSCo saw a mutually beneficial opportunity to on-board the projection products following the introduction of several exciting live event technologies in recent years.
The move adds value to Barco in the UK rental space as partners can now more easily access cross-hire projector bodies and lenses without worrying about freight delays from Europe. In addition, PSCo plan to offer training and support to the Barco products in due course - and PSCo customers will benefit from partner-programme benefits and competitive trade rental pricing.
Midwich & PSCo continue to distribute Barco live events projectors exclusively in the UK for trade purchase.
Tom Allott, asset manager at PSCo comments: “Barco are world-renowned for engineering best-in-class solutions for live events and their projectors are no exception. PSCo are excited to be adding the UDM and G62 DLP series to our fleet, complementing our existing portfolio of projection products to give our trade partners a much wider range of projection solutions across different technologies and brightness levels, along with rental-ready accessory packages including lenses, hanging mounts and frames.”
Ashley Raines, country manager UK & Ireland at Barco comments: “Barco are excited to partner with PSCo for this next step in our relationship. Following the successful launch of Barco’s Event Master image processing range last year, PSCo are now adding our flagship 3-chip DLP UDM and smart line of 1-chip DLP G62 Projectors.
For the first time, Barco projectors and the full suite of lenses & accessories are rental-ready and available in the UK, giving customers easy access to a range of projector options and brightness levels for a multitude of rental applications, with added access to PSCo’s trade-only support services.”
The product is available for trade-only rental or purchase and is on display at Innovation House in Bracknell throughout August, along with a full array of rental display products including Barco projection and image processing, Absen LED, Brompton LED processing and more.
