In addition, PSL has ordered a substantial number of Samsung 42" plasma screens, of which 14 are PPM42M5HSXs, the newest high-resolution panel from Samsung, which allows high-definition images to be shown in true native resolution. Appropriately enough, as the broadcast world trundles towards unilateral high-def standards, PSL debuted its new screens at the International Broadcast Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam, where the reaction from PSL's customers at the show was extremely positive.
To complete the package, Samsung has also supplied 25 of their award-winning P40 professional laptop computers. "With so many high-profile projects and clients, PSL can give our products great exposure in the right places," says Alan Hemson of Samsung, who welcomes the opportunity for the companies to work closely together, "so much so, that we're using PSL's production services for some of Samsung's own corporate events."
PSL has also announced the purchase of 10 new Infinite seamless plasma walls from PSCo to enhance its large-screen display stock. The very latest technology of its kind, the PK4201M is a super-thin 42" digital display panel. When the modular plasma display (MPD) panels are teamed together, with a seam size of less than 4mm, the wall allows the picture to appear as a complete image, as well as offering multi-screen and multi-input display formats in 16:9 aspect ratio.
