Although the AcousticDesign Series may be new, the well-known name and reputation of QSC convinced the owners of Acai - one of the oldest and finest venues in the area - to upgrade the loudspeaker system they purchased just last year to the AD-S82H enclosures. For power amplification, Acai's owners elected to stay within the QSC product line and chose the company's popular PLX 2402.
Thus, eight AD-S82Hs, mounted on QSC's revolutionary IntelliDock AD-ID8 intelligent mounting system, were installed in a semi-open terrace, powered by a pair of QSC PLX 2402 amps. A single QSC RMX 2450 provided more than enough power to drive the additional 12" subwoofers that were used to reinforce the low frequencies.
Featuring QSC's Advanced Directivity rotatable waveguide, the AD-S82H is a stylish, full-range loudspeaker that fits perfectly into multiple environments and applications such as hotels, restaurants, convention facilities and multimedia environments. The fact that the enclosures are weather-resistant made them a perfect choice for this application. Everyone has been impressed with the performance of the new sound reinforcement system. Its frequency response, clarity, and consistency across a wide program variety - including ethnic music from all over the world - has impressed countless patrons.
The month of May proved to be a double win for QSC in Greece. While the ACAI system was being commissioned, QSC power was in action at the celebration concert for the 'Day of Europe', which was held in Athens under the famous Acropolis. For this event, QSC PowerLight series amplifiers powered an EAW line array system, owned by Alpha Sound, the largest soundreinforcement rental company in Greece. All QSC products were supplied by the company's exclusive Greek distributor, I. Diamantopoulos Music.
