UK / Germany - Following the company's recent restructuring into global, channel-specific business units, Costa Mesa, California-based QSC Audio Products LLC has announced a realignment of its distribution in the UK and Germany, with effect from 1 November 2014.

The company's Systems business unit, serving the integrated systems channel, will continue to be represented by Shure Distribution, the QSC distributor for all the company's Pro and Systems products in the UK and Germany since 1992 and 2007 respectively.

"Shure's capability to support our rapidly-expanding Integrated Systems technology in the region is unparalleled. Their complementary product portfolio, combined with their technical knowledge, vast experience, and highly developed sales and marketing functions make them an ideal partner to deliver compelling QSC System solutions to customers in the region," states Joe Pham, QSC CEO and head of the company's Systems business unit.

Peter James, managing director, Shure Distribution UK, says: "We're delighted with QSC's recognition of the investment and commitment we have made to develop their Systems business in the UK. The Shure Distribution Systems Group are excited to be continuing their hard work with this cutting edge, high performance product portfolio."

Management of QSC's Pro business unit, serving the Retail, Rental/Production and Portable PA channels, will be conveyed to AED Distribution, an AED Group company and the QSC distributor in Benelux since 1994. "AED has been and continues to be among our company's top distributors. They continually demonstrate an extraordinary ability to deliver results that exceed expectations," states Ray van Straten, VP of QSC Professional. "AED's passion for the QSC brand, combined with their unique, compelling range of customer-focused solutions will create myriad new opportunities to share the QSC value proposition across the region."

Marco Weissert, managing director of Shure Distribution GmbH states: "This mutually agreed reassignment of responsibilities allows everyone to play to their strengths," while Hans Vanderheijden, AED Distribution managing director relates: "While AED and Shure are distinctive as separate entities, we share one common goal - to promote, enhance and grow the QSC brand to the mutual benefit of all three parties."

QSC's Joe Pham adds: "Both companies' progressive, forward-thinking approach to the marketplace will most certainly benefit the customers served and guide our business to great success in each of these channels. We look forward to working together in our new arrangement."

QSC Audio says its Pro and Systems customers alike in the Benelux region will continue to be served by AED Distribution in the near term. QSC anticipates transitioning its Systems business in those countries to Shure some time in 2015.
