The project has included design and build services for a bespoke turnkey solution to multiple public areas within the hotel, all controlled by AMX touch panel controls that are networked throughout the facility for maximum flexibility and ease of use. The whole system utilises a simple 'touch screen' interface that manages all of the installed technology.
"By working with prime contractors, architects and client representatives we have been able to provide a leading edge turnkey design and supply service to the Marriot Hotel and commission high quality audio, video, signage and multiple induction loops to many key public areas," commentated Brad Higgins, RaceTech AV CEO. "This project has shown how important it is to listen to what the client wants and needs and translate that into a working solution that meets their business objectives, within the budget and their timescale."
A high quality distributed loudspeaker installation provides even sound coverage in all public areas for background music, paging services and sporting events. Utilising digital signal processing under the control of a simple touch screen user interface, visual messaging is available in public areas.
Meeting rooms are fully equipped with AV connectivity to allow for presentations and meetings complete with video conferencing facilities and an induction loop for the hard of hearing. AMX 'touch screen' control of all meeting rooms and audio zones provides full user control, locally and across multiple screens or zones as required for maximum flexibility using simple user friendly instructions on?screen located in the key areas.
The full digital signage system supplies reception lobbies and meeting rooms in the form of wall displays. In-room guest connectivity enables connection of PCs and cameras to room TV sets via a 'JackPack' solution. In addition, there is 'in room zero latency' for live sporting TV feeds.
The RaceTech solution includes 110 Bose speakers in various public areas of the hotel, six signage screens and 10 meeting room screens together with lighting and projection solutions.
Christian Mitchell of the Marriot Hotel at Lingfield said, "This installation puts the hotel at the absolute forefront of conference venues in terms of flexible and innovative use of technology to enhance our guest's experience. We enjoyed working with RaceTech and Bose and felt that they really listened to what we wanted and then delivered that, on time, on budget and in an elegant and easy to use solution."
Sue Harrison, business development manager for Bose, added, "The installation at the Marriot Hotel at Lingfield is technologically advanced, but the simple user interface makes it flexible and easy for the hotel to use and manage the technology themselves to enhance their conference facilities. RaceTech AV, as one of our recommended Bose Pro Partners, has designed and installed a highly appropriate solution and the hotel should see the benefits for many years to come."
