UK - Radical Lighting's new PixelDrive 2 lighting control software will be running lights and enhancing the aesthetics on two stands at PLASA 07 - HSL (stand D49) and PixelRange (stand F45). Radical is taking the opportunity of the industry's leading trade show to showcase its newest and most flexible and accessible products yet.

Radical's Emma Long, Simon Carter and Sophie Woode will be at the show, dividing themselves between the two stands. Sales and marketing manager Sophie Woode comments: "PLASA is an ideal environment for us to show off the new streamlined Radical products, which fit into many areas of the live entertainment and architectural sectors."

A special version of the popular RADlite NG media server has been developed specifically as a control option for PixelRange's new PixelArt video batten, and this will be in use on their stand. The PixelArt section of the NG allows users to interface with each individual video batten, determining the size, resolution and angle.

PixelDrive 2 and its 'Personal Edition' (PE) version is one of two 'Personal' Series products that Radical Lighting has recently launched - the other one being VideoDrive. These products are specifically aimed at theatres, small venues and the educational market. A recent Open Day event was staged at HSL to demonstrate the capabilities of each system.

PixelDrive 2 is the latest version of Radical's popular pixel mapping software, that capitalises on the success of both the original PixelDrive and the RADlite NG media server series and includes many new features. The most significant is the addition of a Video Output for driving LED devices and services like SoftLED, VersaTUBE, ColorWeb, etc; plus the new easy-to-use Fixture Creator to create new profiles for colour mixing fixtures.

VideoDrive is user-friendly digital media server software that allows professional quality video control and effects that can be applied to stage productions of all sizes. It can be operated via PC, laptop or DMX lighting console and will play all Quicktime based media.
