UK - "We set up RealSound Ltd to raise the standards of after sales service throughout the pro audio industry," says industry veteran David Nibbs, who recently created RealSound Ltd. Nibbs, who has 30 years' experience within the music and PA installation sector of the market added: "The primary objective of the company is to introduce our Total 3, Total 5 and Warranty Plus brands of after-sales support services to retail dealers and installation companies across the UK."

RealSound's remit is to enhance the quality of the offered sale or proposal. Nibbs explains: "For dealers and their clients alike, we remove the hassle, wasted time, and resources of having to deal with equipment repairs and replacements for years after the initial sale. Dealers make a profit and their clients benefit from a greatly enhanced level of after sales service."

There are two types of service - Total 3 or Total 5 and Warranty Plus. Benefiting from considerable financial investment in back up stock, Total 3 and 5 both feature a guaranteed next working day on-site equipment hot swap, or engineer attendance - or both.

"We feel that Total 3 and 5 offer a unique opportunity for retail dealers and installation companies to be able to supply the latest products with complete confidence," says Nibbs. "For faulty items which are stand-alone units, Total 3 and Total 5 include a guaranteed next working day temporary replacement of the product by national courier with a similar or superior model whilst the faulty unit is taken away. They are then swapped back after repair.

"If it is an installed system where the faulty item is not a stand-alone product, we provide a guaranteed next working day attendance to site, anywhere in the UK, by one of RealSound's qualified engineers to rectify the equipment problem or provide the replacement service in person."

Alternatively, Warranty Plus is a return-to-base warranty extension service of +1, +2, +3 or +4 years over and above that offered by the manufacturer to extend the working life of the equipment for a very low investment.

Customers can purchase any of the warranties up to six months after they have bought the equipment itself and dealers can sell the warranties on equipment that they have sold or even equipment previously bought by their customers from other dealers. "This flexibility gives dealers the opportunity of retrospective business as well as being a USP to secure customers from other dealers for future business."

Summing up Nibbs said: "Total 3, Total 5 and Warranty Plus are 'products' which will add value to equipment or system sales, add value to your business, enhance your standards of after sales service and make you a good profit margin for minimal effort."
