PLASA Show is running from 15-17 September at Olympia London
UK - The upcoming PLASA Show (15-17 September, London Olympia) will enjoy "huge support" from the pro audio industry, with more brands debuting at the tradeshow and an increased number of live demos also taking place, PLASA has announced.
Among the companies supporting the show are L-Acoustics, Coda Audio, d&b audiotechnik and Void Acoustics. The PLASA Show has also doubled the amount of audio demonstrations on offer with the inclusion of three Audio Lounges and a new live feature, Stage to Studio, held in association with Sound on Sound and Headliner magazines.
PLASA MD Peter Heath comments: “PLASA has worked hard over the past few years to make the show an essential destination for all things audio. As a result, we are confident that this year’s show will inspire professionals working across the audio industry.”
Among the brands making their debut at the tradeshow is Coda Audio, an independent loudspeaker manufacturer whose line arrays are making an impact around the world. Void Acoustics, known for loudspeakers that are equally visually and sonically striking, will take a stand as well as a space in the main audio demo room. They join L-Acoustics, Bose, Yamaha and Audio-Technica among others.
d&b audiotechnik has joined the show as a headline sponsor. Visitors will find their installation and touring systems on both the Sound Foundation Limited (SFL) and SSE stands, alongside products from Sennheiser, DiGiCo, DPA and AVID.
“Live audio demonstrations are always a popular part of the show experience, allowing visitors to experience sound systems in controlled environments - which is why we have more than doubled the amount on offer this year,” Heath explains.
“Equally, exhibitors are always looking beyond traditional exhibition space, to immersive areas where they can host customers and demo products in one space which is where we came up with the ‘Audio Lounge’ concept. We are delighted that L-Acoustics, RCF and Sound Technology will each take an exclusive space,” continues Heath.
Following their successful show last year, L-Acoustics will have a dedicated lounge in which they will showcase their A Series medium-throw solution for touring and installations. Sound Technology will present beam-steering solutions from Holoplot who debuted at PLASA Show last year and scooped a coveted PLASA Innovation Award. Meanwhile, RCF will take the third lounge in which they will reveal their latest releases.
In the main demo area, there will be back-to-back demos from Adam Hall, Shermann Audio, Void Acoustics, Aura Audio and OHM. KV2 Audio will also take a separate space, demoing their products throughout the show, and OutBoard TiMax will present their latest immersive audio technologies.
PLASA Show is also launching Stage to Studio this year in association with Sound on Sound</> magazine and Headliner magazine. Over two sessions, artists VC Pines and Effie will perform live whilst being recorded by sound engineer Simon Todkill (Kanye West, Charli XCX, Matt Corby, Hiatus Kaiyote).
“These professional sessions will provide insights for audio engineers at all stages of their career as well as entertainment throughout show from the next generation of homegrown talent,” adds Heath.
He continues: “In addition to all this audio content, we have our seminar programme which is consistently voted as the best in the industry. With presentations on this year’s most creative projects and up to date technical standards, there truly is something for everyone. We look forward to announcing the line up next week.”
