Germany - Four of Europe's leading specialist rigging companies have announced they are to join forces at ProLight+Sound 2014 on a stand (Hall 9 -F90) described as 'big, black and beautiful'.

The companies are Interal TC BV, Michel.Ingenieure GmbH, Scan-Rig AB and Frontline Rigging Consultancy / ZFX Europe.

Several news announcements and new products will be highlights of the stand.

Interal will launch its new printed catalogue and will show its 5 tonne Rigging Tower, along with a range of standard products and custom projects.

Scan-rig will showcase a new range of rigging products from 2mm Safetybonds to 2T softsteels.

Frank Michel from Michel Ingenieure will be on hand to explain the new upcoming standards Eurocode 9 EN1090 CE Class 2 & 3 that will affect truss and construction manufacturing. Described by SteelConstruction.info as "one of the most significant changes for a decade as CE Marking of construction products becomes mandatory in all Member States throughout the European Union and the European Economic Area."

CE Marking will become mandatory on 1 July 2014. This represents a major development for engineers, contractors and steelwork specialists and it demands careful attention to the new obligations imposed.

Meanwhile, ZFX Europe, part of the Dutch Frontline Rigging Consultancy, is presenting its new fully automated eZtrolley curved track for all automated horizontal motion control.

Aart Gigengack of Scan-Rig AB commented, "We are all very exciting to meet you and showing you all the new things."
