As part of the model, CFS (incorporating EasiRental, EasiPurchase & Easi Lease and service partner TV Technologies) has been supplying each of the units with a pair of Crown LPS-1500 amplifiers, purchased through sub-distributor Batmink - accompanied by purpose-built racks and amplifier remotes. These are powering 12 compact, two-way JBL Control 1 Pro's, distributed across each zone.
The install is part of a concept designed to screen sporting events via a framed big screen and high end projection (with adjacent 3D television) - with relays to other 50" plasmas distributed around the venue - in the lead up to the World Cup; each conversion has cost up to £30,000.
According to Chris Cartmell, commercial director at CFS, the LPS1500's take a variety of feeds from Sky and terrestrial TV, Blu-ray, Nintendo Wiii and the customer-profiled Imagesound background music (stored on hard drive).
Through different guises, he has enjoyed a long relationship with Rileys and his company has financed the complete AV package for this roll-out, tweaking the specs to suit in each case.
"I have used Crown XLS amplifiers in the past and found them to be reliable - so I was happy to remain with the brand," he said. "These LPS-1500's offer great value for money." Features include XLR inputs, Speakon and binding post outputs, stereo/parallel/bridge-mono mode, power/fault/signal presence/clip indicators, forced-air cooling, and protection against shorts and radio-frequency interference.
