The event was held at RACV Royal Pines Resort, the look and feel of which was boosted for the occasion by the illumination of the building's massive main foyer by six Anolis ArcPad Xtremes, positioned inside, on the mezzanine above the main foyer, covering an area of about 600 square metres, and creating a special festive atmosphere. All lighting equipment was supplied by Phaseshift Productions.
The night began with a spectacular fireworks display to welcome over 600 guests including special invitees, naturalist Terri Irwin and Senator Mark Furner.
The 24 Robin 600 LEDWash fixtures were lighting the main stage for the gala dinner, where they provided great coverage and plenty of creative options for lighting live sets from singer Jon Stevens and local band, The Accidents.
It was the first time Jackson had the chance to properly put the LEDWash 600s through their paces, and he says, "I was very impressed with the LEDWash 600s and it was great to actually get to use them at last - as they've had no down time since we bought them in April."
The units were shipped from Phaseshift's Melbourne office on the Wednesday (for the Saturday show) specially for the BMW Ball after coming directly off the Gary Numan tour.
Over the last 10 years, the annual Bruce Lynton Charity Ball has raised over $1.2m Australian dollars. Everyone attending the 2011 event gave generously to the charity which supports The Cancer Council, Guide Dogs, Surf Life Saving Australia and Young Care.
