The Royal Opera House in London's Convent Garden stages a broad spectrum of productions
UK - Chauvet Professional COLORdash Batten Tri linear wash lights enliven the stage of the Royal Opera House in London's Convent Garden. Additionally used for corporate events, the 12 compact-sized fixtures supplement the existing stock and provide flexible lighting options.

"We bought the units for two reasons," said Paul Hornsby, lighting systems manager for Royal Opera House, "[for] a compact light source [when] lighting up pieces of set where we needed a small-sized, bright, low-heat unit and for events-small room meetings to lighting the windows of the Paul Hamlyn Hall for the Christmas period."

Royal Opera House selected the fixtures after its use on television shows like Strictly Come Dancing. Supplied by Stage Electrics, COLORdash Batten Tri features a row of calibrated tri-coloured LEDs that can perform complex pixel mapping and intricate runway effects as well as excels as a surface wash or foot/batten light.

"We were impressed by the output of the unit," said Hornsby, "the even colour mixing when in single colour mode and the ability to use it in pixel mode for more dynamic effects. It made for a very versatile product in one unit, whilst maintaining a small footprint for using in a rig, set or floor mounted."
