"I aim to help ARRI introduce novel, innovative lighting technologies to the entertainment lighting market, and maintain close ties with those who work in this field to ensure that ARRI develops the right tools for their needs," says Fletcher. " Expanding our capabilities in industrial lighting is another important goal, and I aim to support customers in their use of ARRI lighting systems for technically demanding industrial applications."
Fletcher previously worked for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California for the U.S. Department of Energy. Since 2005, he served as a consultant to ARRI with product research, development and evaluation of competing products.
Fletcher is based out of ARRI's Burbank, Calif. office. He adds, "ARRI's leading position in the worldwide film and television production industry is unparalleled, and the emphasis on innovation provides exciting opportunities to advance the state of media production. Having previously worked in both the artistic and technical sides of lighting, I look forward to combining these experiences to further ARRI's reputation of developing lighting tools that are not only technologically inventive but also creatively useful."
