UK - Sennheiser UK confirmed at a press conference at PLASA07 that it is now the sole UK distributor for Italian high-end pro audio amplifier manufacturer Powersoft.

"We're delighted to add Powersoft to our portfolio of brands," explained Sennheiser UK general manager, Philip Massey. "Having spoken to many end-users over the past few months, Powersoft's reputation for versatility, sonic excellence and reliability is well deserved. This is an important partnership for us and we're very much looking forward to increasing the brand's profile over the coming years. Naturally, this is a great time for live music in the UK, but we're also assessing the potential for the brand in the Middle East."

"We think that Sennheiser UK can help us demonstrate the superiority of our technology in the competitive UK. We immediately had very good feeling about the Sennheiser team and this is why the agreement was signed quickly. Both companies are aware about the huge potential Powersoft has in UK."

Powersoft's range of digital amplifiers, founded on the original DIGAM Series, has expanded to provide bespoke solutions for cinemas, public address systems, touring acts, permanent installations and portable sound requirements. Two or four channel amplifiers are available at for virtually all power and all impedance requirements, providing up to 9000W per channel, while taking up only 1U of rack space.

The flagship range of K Series amplifiers can easily be upgraded through Powersoft's Step-Up Card system. As a venue's power requirements grow, the K Series' output power can be increased by purchasing the Card for the same price as an upgraded to the next model. In addition, Powersoft's Power Control System allows the building of a network of amplifiers, allowing the user to perform real-time control and monitoring of the system through a PC.
