Sennheiser will show its brand new evolution 800 and 600 series, a new generation of wired mics that puts Sennheiser sound quality within reach of everyone's budget, say the company. The e800 and e600 series is a complete range with vocal and instrument mics for bands, soloists, and presenters and cater for a wide range of applications.
Designed for demanding professional use, Sennheiser's e900 series now includes 11 models in the range, offering a choice for a wide range of vocal and instrument applications. Adding flexibility for users who want the sound of the e935 and e945 but who want to go wireless, the capsules for these mics can now be used with any evolution G2 handheld transmitter.
The recently-introduced evolution G2 wireless systems offer advanced features and facilities including up to 1440 tuneable frequencies, Pilot tone squelch and the use of double AA batteries or a rechargeable battery option. The range caters for every conceivable application, say the company.
Rane will be highlighting the new Serato Scratch LIVE, a software and hardware solution for bridging the analogue world of vinyl and the digital world of computer audio files. The Scratch LIVE interface connects almost any computer to an ordinary pair of turntables (or CD players), and the software faithfully tracks every subtle movement of the stylus on the included control records. The same movement is then instantly applied to any digital audio file in the user's collection producing a sound and feel that is indistinguishable from vinyl.
Also new from Rane is a complete range of digital live sound tools comprising the DEQ-60L stereo 31 band graphic with long throw faders, the DEQ-60 stereo 31-band graphic, the G4 4-channel quad gate/ducker/expander, the MM42 in-ear monitoring processor, the PEQ-55 stereo parametric equalizer and the AC-24 stereo 4-way crossover. Each of the new products offers the user familiar 'analogue-type control', but with full digital processing behind the interface.
Following-up on the successful worldwide launch of the Aero-28 compact line array systems, D.A.S. is now introducing a large format, full-range line array system, the Aero-48, which will be show for the first time in the UK at PLASA. D.A.S. will also be introducing a completely new range of high power H Series amplifiers to drive Aero-48 and other large-system loudspeakers.
Also new at PLASA are the DS passive and active series, designed to allow tripod-mounting and attachment to walls or ceilings using optional rigging hardware. Available in either active or passive formats, the DS series are especially appropriate in clubs, discos, gymnasiums, general PA, or any application that requires sound reinforcement in a lightweight, compact enclosure, say the company.
PLASA will see the worldwide launch of a brand new range of Lab.gruppen amplifiers aimed at installation use. Initial models will be 4-channel with a range of powers up to 4 x 1000W into 4ohms. The new range will include an integrated network option - a new solution to monitoring and control of the amplifiers via a PC. The system is designed to be simple and reliable with no individual addressing of units required, safe and informative and with redundancy built-in. There will also be a further option of advanced DSP functionality for loudspeaker processing, and a CobraNet digital audio interface.
