A statement announcing the split says: "Due to recent changes in the Sennheiser worldwide product portfolio it was decided that the Adamson brand of products is now in direct conflict with Sennheiser owned products."
"We have been very happy with the efforts of Sennheiser UK in promoting, selling and supporting the Adamson brand in the UK and it is disappointing for Adamson that this situation has occurred," says Andy Weingärtner, DV2 European sales manager. "There is a synergy between Adamson and Lab.gruppen, which is a Sennheiser UK distributed brand, that will remain and we look forward to continued communication with Sennheiser UK for our amplification requirements."
Simon Curtis, Sennheiser director of sales adds: "Adamson Systems and DV2 have been very professional companies to deal with and the product quality is second to none. We wish the Adamson brand every success and will endeavour to maintain the relationship between Lab.gruppen and Adamson products in the UK."
