The Masters of Sound campaign kicked off at the beginning of 2012 and gave aspiring musicians the life-changing opportunity of helping to create a new track with singer-songwriter and producer, Labrinth. Worcester-born singer, songwriter and pianist Clare-Louise Rossie was chosen as the winner from over 600 entries with her composition Designed to Fly.
The five new video sessions continue the Masters of Sound topic by offering a wealth of useful material to anyone whose passion lies within professional audio world.
The first Masters of Sound Session to be released features producer Steve Levine, a Grammy and BRIT Award-winning record producer who has worked with Culture Club, Honeyz, America, Beach Boys, Deniece Williams and Gary Moore, talks about his career, shares some top tips, and explains his rationale behind his all-time favourite albums.
This will be followed over the coming months by Grammy award winning guitarist, keyboardist and music producer Mark 'Kipper' Etheridge, who is best known for his cooperation with Gary Numan and Sting, and live sound engineer Matt Napier, who works with some of the world's most exacting artists, including Madonna and Kylie Minogue.
"Sennheiser works with many of industry's leading engineers, producers and artists," says Phil Cummings, marketing projects manager, at Sennheiser UK. "This series of videos gives a behind the scenes look at what it's like to work in the industry and how they got to where they are today. We have specifically chosen contrasting people from all areas of the audio business to share their experience and knowledge, in an informative, fun way."
