The largest contender at this show was the weather. The stage included a 10 x 8m Prolyte Roof and in the afternoon a gust threatened to stop the show. "I can't emphasise how big it was," said Rawjee.
Insane Sound had their safety infrastructure in place including large water ballasts for the roof. "We had to take off the sides of the stage while the band kept playing," said Rawjee. The wind howled into the microphones, but it actually sounded like an effect, say organisers. By the time the main artists were performing, the weather was back to being perfect.
Being a mostly day time concert, a basic lighting rig was utilized including PARcans, Robin 600 LED Washes and Martin MAC 700s. The rig lit up the bands, eliminated shadows and also added spots of colour to give the production a rock and roll type feel. The show was programmed on an Avolites Tiger Touch.
A JBL Vertec line array system was used for sound.
