France - Showlight, the much-loved quadrennial networking event organised by and for lighting professionals, will return in May 2025 when it will visit the city of Dijon in France.
Highly regarded by the lighting industry, Showlight combines three days of eclectic talks with a great social programme, a sponsored student scheme and unique opportunities for manufacturers and lighting designers alike to network in a relaxed and non-pressured environment. Peripatetic by nature, the event moves from country to country for each edition.
With renowned French followspot manufacturer Robert Juliat as the headline sponsor of the 2025 event, Showlight will head to Le Parc des Expositions et Congrès de Dijon from 19-22 May 2025.
Located at the centre of France’s Burgundy region - the vineyards of which were recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with Dijon city centre - Dijon promises to be the perfect setting for the 12th edition of this popular industry networking event.
A statement from Showlight’s organisers says: “Showlight cannot wait to present a brand-new programme of Papers: be prepared to share the wealth of knowledge from lighting practitioners across theatre, television, concert touring, themed attractions, events and architecture on a diverse range of topics, in a relaxed and convivial environment. There’s plenty of time to network and socialise in between Papers, enjoy face-to-face discussions with lighting designers and manufacturers alike, and browse the supporting exhibition that runs alongside. Students are actively encouraged to attend for an unprecedented opportunity to learn from those already working in the industry.
“Please note the new dates for Showlight 2025 which, by popular demand, have moved from their traditional weekend and will take place from Monday 19th May 2025 to Thursday 22nd May 2025, commencing with the Welcome Reception on the Monday evening.”
