For the run of shows which saw the band play dates in countries such as France, The Netherlands, Germany and the Czech Republic, Campbell specified just four of the Showline strobes from Siyan. "The units are bright and impressive enough for this amount to be ideal," he explains. "I would normally have used at least double that with older fixtures."
The tour was an amalgamation of Karnivool's first three albums with Campbell's concept reflecting this. It saw big strong white/tungsten rock looks for album one 'Themata', darker, moody looks for album two Sound Awake and asymmetrical looks with maximum impact for the band's latest offering Asymmetry to close the show.
"The SL Nitro 510C fitted into my design perfectly, helping to accent key moments in Karnivool's complex songs," says Campbell. "I was pretty much using them as conventional strobes as they pack a huge punch in this mode and sometimes a show doesn't need any more than that. However, there have been several tours when I've used them to their full potential - I had a number of them on Katy B and Crossfaith last autumn."
The SL Nitro 510C delivers intense bursts of coloured and white light and dynamic effects. The tightly packed array of 264 high power fixed white LEDs and 264 RGB LEDs ensures maximum output for both traditional white effects and an almost infinite choice of colour with full field and even distribution across 120°.
"I'm very impressed with the SL Nitro 510C's vibrant colours and fantastic strobe rate, which is something that other LED strobes have failed on in the past," says Campbell. "They are quickly becoming a regular fixture in my designs."
