UK - Showsec has signed a new two-and-a-half year contract to supply London's Earls Court venue with crowd-management services. The contract builds on two successful years with Earls Court, where Showsec has managed the front of house security and stewarding operation, across events including The Prince's Trust Urban Music Festival, Madonna and Justin Timberlake concerts, Coldplay and Paul McCartney. This new agreement extends Showsec's relationship with the venue.

Showsec's Earls Court team, along with the rest of its London staff, is continuing its programme of the NCFE event stewarding qualifications, SIA door supervisor training and event supervisor courses to ensure high standards of customer care. Over the next year Showsec and Earls Court will also be ensuring the new SIA regulations are adhered to as they are introduced in London.

Showsec southern regional manager Simon Battersby commented: "Earls Court attracts some of the best international acts and thus huge crowds follow. We pride ourselves that we are customer focused, so that our presence at the venue enhances the public's enjoyment and we are excited to be working with Earls Court for a further two and a half years."

The British music industry is booming at the moment and Earls Court will be part of many artist's touring schedules. The immediate future brings MTV EVA double award winners Muse and Morrissey confirmed in December, whilst for next year Kylie, Destiny's Child, Neil Diamond and Rod Stewart will all be playing.

Rachel Parker, customer services director at Earls Court Commented: "What sets Showsec apart from other crowd management companies is that they understand the importance of customer service. The stewarding staff is the first and the last faces that concertgoers see, their behavior leaves a lasting impression on the public. It is important that the audiences enjoy the night feeling safe and relaxed."
