‘DPL Licht en Geluid ensured that Pump Up the '90s was an unforgettable experience for all attendees’

The Netherlands - Lighting and sound solutions provider DPL Licht en Geluid brought the '90s back to life in a spectacle at the recent Pump Up the '90s event. Held on 20 April, the Dutch event welcomed a line-up of artists including Charly Lownoise, T-Spoon, Flamman & Abraxas, Critical Mass, DJ Potato, DJ Zany and Don Cartel, all of whom delivered under the glow of equipment from Showtec, Infinity and DMT.

The Pump Up the '90s event at Evenementenhal Hardenberg witnessed an explosion of nostalgia as attendees were transported back to the golden era of dance music, with the expertise of DPL Licht en Geluid taking the experience to soaring heights. The event was supported by a range of Showtec, Infinity and DMT products, carefully selected to create an immersive atmosphere that captivated the audience from start to finish.

For the Duikboot Area (Submarine Area), DPL selected products known for their ability to create an immersive atmosphere that captivated the audience from start to finish. These included four new Infinity Raccoon S420/4 fixtures, a professional strobe/wash with sectional control, high CRI (92) RGBW wash LEDs and 35 CW strobe LEDs with over 70,000 lumens.

These were supported by 20 professional Infinity Raccoon P14/4 RGBM pars, three Infinity TF-300 Fresnels, 32 Showtec Phantom 180 Wash RGBW LED wash moving heads and six Showtec LED Octostrip Set MKII for a total of 48 metres of section controlled LED batten effects.

Bursts of intense light were provided by two sets of the new Showtec Stage Blinder FLEX Blaze, with a total of 16 100 W warm white (3000 K) LED blinder pods. Each pod allows for traditional tungsten dimming simulation with integrated amber LEDs and offers interesting RGB blaze effects for creative possibilities. The entire set is conveniently IP65 rated to withstand outdoor rain.

To create vibrant colours and dynamic lighting, 150 Showtec Spectral M800 Q4 IP65 weatherproof RGBW LED pars were placed in two halls, controlled by two Showtec LAMPY 20 2U DMX consoles.

The banners were lit by 20 Showtec ACT Profile 50 WW warm white theatre LED ellipsoidal fixtures.

The main stage was dominated by a 40 m² DMT Premiere Series 4.6-G2 Outdoor LED screen, providing a dynamic backdrop for the performers on stage.

With attention to detail and a commitment to technical excellence, DPL Licht en Geluid ensured that Pump Up the 90s was an unforgettable experience for all attendees. From the pulsating beats to the mesmerising light shows, every aspect of the event was designed to transport the audience back to the iconic era of the '90s.
