Europe, Middle East & Africa - Shure Inc has formed a new Shure Personal Audio Business Unit (PABU) team for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The announcement follows on the success of the Personal Audio division in the US and aims to maximise Shure's presence in EMEA. Shure's Personal Audio accessories have already experienced worldwide attention, illustrating the potential for professional quality consumer peripherals alongside consumer electronic devices, including MP3 players, mobile phones, multimedia laptops and mobile gaming systems.

"With this explosion of multimedia devices and the consequent demand for high-end accessories, Shure has not only experienced remarkable success in the US, but is also witnessing increasing momentum in EMEA," said Mark Karnes, general manager, Shure's Personal Audio Business Unit. "With a targeted push to bring Shure's professional-grade audio accessories to this growing market, Shure is extending the company's highly regarded reputation in the Americas and is solidifying its position as a leading consumer accessories brand worldwide."

Heading up the Shure PABU EMEA team is Kai Lehnert as director personal audio EMEA. Lehnert joins Shure with more than 10 years' marketing experience at companies such as Renault, Thompson Multimedia and Philips. He says: "Shure is a leading brand in the pro audio arena and our aim is to bring this powerful and well-respected brand to the consumer electronics industry."

Joining Kai's PABU EMEA team is marketing manager Nils Proesser, business manager Susanne Mueller and sales & marketing coordinator Vanessa Wittkowski. Additional PABU EMEA team members based in the UK are Saffron Wynn-Jones, Jamie McKay and Paul Crognale.
