USA - After two years, almost 2,000 attendees have participated in Shure Incorporated's Advanced Wireless Seminars around the United States, most recently in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

"We consider this a significant milestone for us, and we're looking forward to continuing this programme," said Gino Sigismondi, training manager for Shure. "With all of the uncertainty surrounding White Spaces over the past few years and with so many unanswered questions about the future of the wireless landscape, our customers need this kind of training now more than ever."

The company has been staging these events around the US since mid-2007 and most recently hosted two of the sessions on the West Coast for dealers, sound contractors, consultants, and technicians from major entertainment venues, including Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, The Mirage, and The Flamingo casinos.

"We were very pleased to see both events attended to maximum capacity," said Alan Geer, president of Audio Geer. "In addition to the number of people who attended these sessions, it was the calibre of the people that impressed me the most. When so many qualified audio professionals turn out to learn from the Shure training team, it makes the event exciting and very worthwhile."

"These seminars continue to evolve, and as we start to get a little more clarity on what the landscape in UHF is going to look like in the next few years, we can tailor the agenda to give attendees the most up-to-date information on best practices for selecting and operating wireless microphone and personal monitoring systems," added Sigismondi. "Proper frequency selection and antenna set-up, now more than ever, are going to be the best tools for our customers to ensure successful operation of their wireless systems."

Additional seminars are planned around the country. Attendees can earn Certified Technology Specialist renewal credits through InfoComm.
