Singapore - Team 108 has been appointed the Singapore distribution partner for Pan Beam, the advanced steerable audio specialist from Wolfenbüttel in Germany. Pan Beam's range of self-powered, DSP controlled column loudspeakers are designed "to provide an outstanding solution for speech and music even in the most difficult of surroundings, delivering optimum sound quality in halls and other reverberant spaces".

Kevin Nair, MD of Team 108 explained their choice of Pan Beam, "With steerable columns being established in the market place over the last 10-plus years, there are several companies having engineered their own solutions as part of their product line-up trying to get their slice of this growing market. We from Team 108 have been looking at the different systems appearing in the market and they all had their strengths and weaknesses.

"As we were looking for a company that is specialised in steerable products, that had the leading technology and the feature set that the market required. We wanted a uniquely outstanding performance combined with simple, intuitive system set-up, so that the installer doesn't need to be a programming expert to get great results.

"In Pan Beam we found exactly this", continued Nair, "But we also found a comprehensive range covering all of the applications that beam steering would be applicable for and a far more architecturally pleasing form factor than many other products on the market. Big box section steerable columns are a thing of the past - the market has moved on as architects and designers have more influence than ever. Just because a space is acoustically difficult doesn't mean that people are prepared to compromise on aesthetics".

Jan Leerschool, international sales manager of Pan Bean, commented: "Team 108 has the technical resources and a strong portfolio of synergetic brands, combined with excellent relationships with key integrators and consultants in the Singapore and Malaysian area. I am pleased to have them as Pan Beam's distributor and am confident we will see good sales in the key Singaporean and Malaysian markets."
