Following in the footsteps of the popular DX5 loudspeaker that has found favour with a number of major rental companies for its superior sonic performance and versatility as both a stage monitor and FoH speaker, the new MX0 offers the same performance in a format specifically designed for the installation market.
First presented at the JTSE 2013 in Paris last November alongside the DX5, the MX0 seems destined for similar success in its market. Specifically designed for ease of installation in any environment, the MX0 may be stand-mounted or wall- or ceiling-mounted using the optional ETMX0 bracket, or simply placed on a suitable surface. It comes with Phoenix connectors as standard and is also available in 70/100V line version. "Delivering astonishing performance for its diminutive size thanks to its efficient coaxial design, the MX0 is an ideal choice for applications where space is at a premium and the sound system needs to be discreet yet powerful. It's reduced form factor and very wide dispersion characteristics (100° above 10KHz) enables extended coverage with a minimal amount of loudspeakers," says APG.
Applications include vocal reinforcement such as conferencing, as well as for background music and in-fill applications (delay, front fill, side fill, surround sound/effects etc). Combined with subwoofers, it provides a powerful yet discreet system for private venues such as hotels, restaurant or home cinemas, or public places including museums, retail outlets, multimedia venues and so on. And, the icing on the cake is that the MX0, like DX5, is available as standard in either black or white at no extra cost.
