Basic functionality such as gain and level can be controlled from the mixer's front panel. Optional computer control allows more detailed channel settings such as low-cut filter to be configured via PC, using the included SmartMixer software. Designed for intuitive, easy-to-use operation, the mixer automatically keeps the number of open microphones to a minimum, bringing background noise and feedback under control while providing increased clarity and audio quality, say the company.
Mountable in a single 19" rack space via integral rack mount, the SmartMixer has a direct output connection for each input, balanced and unbalanced audio outputs for driving amplification systems or other equipment, a monitor headphone output with level control, and a linking capability for 16 units (up to 128 microphones). Its flexibility and simplicity make it ideal for meetings, courtrooms, classrooms, distance learning, worship and just about any multi-microphone situation, say Audio-Technica.
The AT-MX381 SmartMixer is expected to ship during August.
