"We first evaluated iLive-T at the Anstruther Homegame festival, where we were impressed by the system's capacity, easy load in and set up, and intuitive layout," explains Maltings Audio's Doug Siddons.
Maltings ordered an iLive-T, comprising the iDR-32 MixRack and iLive-T80 Control Surface, and immediately put it to work at the Holt Music Festival, a one day event featuring eight bands, with a headline performance from 14-piece soul band, Soul Destroyers.
"This event would have been impossible for me to manage with my old desk but the new system handled it brilliantly," continues Siddons. "iLive's DCA groups were the pivotal feature in managing the headline act, enabling me to organise all the musical elements into four groups - one each for drums, vocals, brass and rhythm."
The next day the new system was employed at an exclusive gig at private members' club, Babington House, followed by an event at a football stadium. "The digital core really earned its money at the stadium event," Siddons adds. "I'm thrilled with the purchase, as it enables me to take on any contract without having concerns about capacity."
